During the COVID-19 pandemic it is imperative that we maintain social distancing, but that doesn’t mean everything has stopped. Numerous Puget Sound organizations are offering online virtual events and video classes. We encourage you to join in!

One-on-one counseling with a SCORE mentor to help you with your startup or assist with your existing business including navigating COVID-19. SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives) is a nonprofit organization supported by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).

Using her own data on AncestryDNA, Jill will step-by-step explore the front page of her DNA results, discussing ethnicity, shared matches, Thrulines, their frailties and how they can be used effectively. Other techniques for maximizing your results will be discussed, including sharing your results with other testing companies.This is a live demonstration. Presented by MaryLynn Strickland and South King County Genealogical Society.
Since its inception, the growth of the United States has been based on its westward expansion.
These ancestors obtained land, developed it and left its heritage for us to appreciate.
After a brief review of land description terms, we will use genealogical databases such as Ancestry.com and land patents and military warrants at the General Land Office website to locate our ancestors’ homesteads. Then we will use online applications to find the old homestead on modern maps, even down to Google street view!

Research shows that healthy friendships are important to our overall health. What have you learned about making friends as you get older? What kind of friend are you?
Wisdom Cafes invite groups of older adults to engage in intentional dialogues led by trained facilitators. Participants engage with others, are motivated to try new things and are inspired by sharing life experiences.
